ACCELERATOR Nord West Bulgaria is looking for interested Start ups to take part on the pilot project


Accelerator North West Bulgaria is part of the international project “Accelerator – Developing accelerators to provide better access to finance for innovation for SMEs”, work package 4 “Development and testing of accelerated business development schemes”. It is organized by The Technology Center Sofia and Virtech Ltd.
The accelerator was officially opened on February 28 in the city of Vratsa, despite the heavy weather and traffic conditions. The same day, the launch of applications by young entrepreneurs in several different areas began. The accelerator provides a program to accelerate business development and support innovative start-ups and small and medium-sized enterprises. Its activity is aimed at companies that seek to develop highly innovative applications and build high-tech solutions in the four main priority areas identified in the Innovation Strategy for Intelligent Specialization of the Republic of Bulgaria 2014-2020 (IS3), which are:
– “Mechatronics and Clean Technology”;
– “Informatics and Information and Communication Technologies”;
– “Healthy Living Industry”and “Biotechnology”;
– “New Technologies in the Creative and Entertainment Industries”.

In order to bring the presented and approved projects to life, the North – West Bulgaria acceleration program will cover the entire entrepreneurial cycle – from the creation of the idea to the development of a prototype and the development of a business. The program will provide support for building teams and ideas, developing business models, providing training and mentoring, e-learning and online consulting, as well as providing support for access to funding from different sources.
